Between February 19th and March 21st, students from San Leandro High School’s Academy for Multimedia memorialized the 40th anniversary of Cesar Chavez’ fast for non-violence in 1968.

SLAM students each fasted one day to send a message to their campus and community that violence must be stopped. Student groups chose different topics and issues to highlight during the Cesar Chavez fast.

Each student has created a multimedia piece that was featured here during the day of their fast. All the projects are listed here.
